OUR PARAGON FLEET
The Paragon Fleet is a symbol that represents our pride in Hull Trains, our people and our City and will continue to represent the very best of train travel for years to come. Since December 2019, customers have benefitted from more seating capacity, enhanced interiors and faster speeds as part of a major £60 million investment. Hull Trains have replaced its old Class 180 fleet with new high-tech Hitachi trains, operating on both diesel and electric traction – giving customers access to the benefits of the East Coast Main Line’s electrified track, whilst continuing to enjoy a personable experience with our friendly onboard team that Hull Trains is known for.

OUR IMPROVEMENTS

Greater Comfort
With plush ergonomically designed seats, the new trains provide 20% more seats than our older fleet, with extra legroom, air conditioning, free WiFi throughout your journey, and at-seat sockets. Sit back and relax as you enjoy a quieter journey and a smoother ride. View our Paragon seating plan here.

A Smoother Ride
Our new fleet of hi-tech Hitachi trains operate on both diesel and electric power, and with an improved braking system you will notice a quieter journey and a smoother ride whether you are travelling with us for one stop or all the way.

Better Storage
Whether travelling for business or going away for a long weekend, you can take with you everything you need. There’s more storage space than ever with luggage racks at the end of carriages, extra floor space for under seat storage, and deeper overhead racks to safely store your belongings closer to you.

Greener Travel
Running on electric power is more environmentally friendly with lower emissions, as well as noise pollution being kept to a minimum as you enjoy greener travel with Hull Trains.

Improved Accessibility
Accessibility has been improved onboard our new fleet of trains. There are spaces for 2 wheelchairs with full access to a disabled toilet, along with easily accessible priority seating. All toilets onboard are easier to use, plus baby-changing facilities have been introduced to them too.
