Due to a points failure at Selby, Hull Trains services between Hull and Doncaster in both directions are not able to call at Howden or Selby. Our trains are operating on a diversionary route between Brough and Doncaster.

Network Rail engineers are working to resolve the problem with the points [moveable sections of track which allow trains to change from one line to another], however disruption is expected to last until Sunday 17th November as significant repairs are required.

Hull Trains customers travelling to Selby or Howden from the south:
Please leave the train at Doncaster where road transport will be provided to Selby and Howden. If you require any help, please speak to the LNER station team at Doncaster. Alternatively, you can stay on the Hull Trains service to Brough or on LNER services to Leeds and connect for a TransPennine Express or Northern departure to Howden or Selby from Brough.

Hull Trains customers travelling from Selby or Howden towards the south:
At Selby and Howden road transport has been organised to Doncaster where you will be able to join the next available LNER service. When travelling on alternative LNER services, we recommend making a new seat reservation where possible here. You can use your existing Hull Trains ticket and will not have to purchase a new ticket to travel on LNER services. Customers can also use Northern and TransPennine Express services to travel to Leeds, or Brough to connect with either Hull Trains services at Brough or LNER services at Leeds.

Alternatively, customers can travel from Hull with Northern to York and then join the next available LNER service.

If you choose to travel to Doncaster or Brough and catch the Hull Trains service southbound and you have an existing seat reservation please confirm you require your seat reservation by emailing us at customer.services@hulltrains.co.uk and we can ensure your existing seat reservations are honoured.

If you are travelling northbound and your original destination was Selby or Howden and you have an existing seat reservation please confirm you require your seat reservation by emailing us at customer.services@hulltrains.co.uk and we can ensure this is still confirmed from your origin station.

If as a result of this disruption your journey has been delayed by more than 30 minutes you will be entitled to Delay Repay. Please apply for this through our website here.

If you are no longer wish to travel as a result of this disruption and your tickets are unused, you can claim a full refund of your ticket from the original point of purchase. If your tickets were bought via the Hull Trains website, please request a refund here.
