We are pleased to note that strike action against Hull Trains for Sunday 26th June has been called off. Services will now run as normal on Sunday following meaningful talks between Hull Trains and the union ASLEF.

Hull Trains are currently dealing with the effects of national RMT strike action against other operators and Network Rail. Passengers are still able to travel using Hull Trains services during this week of national disruption but are advised to check amended timetables before doing so.

A reduced timetable is in place on the national strike days of Thursday 23rd and Saturday 25th June but reservation numbers are increasing.

Whilst no services will run from Paragon Station, Hull, on these days, Hull Trains services will still operate between Doncaster and London King’s Cross between the hours of 7.30 and 18.30.

Paragon Station will be open and hosting services on days either side of the strike dates. However, there will be some changes to the usual service timetable.

Managing Director, David Gibson, said: “I am delighted to confirm that strike action planned for Sunday against Hull Trains has been called off by ASLEF following meaningful talks which will continue.

“However, we do sympathise with passengers who are seeing their journeys disrupted this week as a result of RMT industrial action which is not against Hull Trains as a company. Whilst we have had to introduce amended timetables, we are still running services and are continuing to do everything we can to keep passengers moving. We are pleased to see reservations increasing through the week as passengers show confidence in our services.

“Clearly, none of this is ideal and our main priority is looking after our passengers. We continue to have a visible presence at all stations this week so if any passengers are uncertain, please speak to a member of staff who will be more than happy to help you plan your journey.

“Our timetable for Thursday and Saturday is available to view on our website hulltrains.co.uk where you can also find information about changes to our timetable on days either side of the strike action.”
