Members of the public are being asked to nominate individuals in Hull or East Yorkshire who they believe are deserving of recognition for the role they play in making a difference to their local community.
Nominations are now being accepted for the ‘Hull Trains Platinum Jubilee Award’ with a fantastic prize up for grabs of first-class return travel tickets to London Kings Cross, including overnight accommodation.
David Gibson, Managing Director, explained: “There are activities taking place up and down the country to celebrate Her Majesty The Queen’s 70 years of service but we really wanted to do something that would shine a light on our own community and, in particular, an individual who goes above and beyond to make a difference all-year round.
“There are so many volunteers, fundraisers, health workers, carers and other individuals who do so much to help and inspire others, often with very little recognition. This is a fantastic way for us all to say, ‘thank you,’ and to give someone a well-deserved short break in London where they can unwind and enjoy some first-class hospitality.”
To nominate a recipient of the Platinum Jubilee Awards, members of the public should visit https://survey.usabilla.com/live/s/6262b8649e5ebb3292562bbc and complete an entry form outlining who the individual is, what role they play in the community and why they should win.
Nominations will close on Friday, May 27th 2022 and the leadership team at Hull Trains will then consider the shortlisted entries. The winner will be notified on Wednesday, June 1st 2022.
Winners will be given the choice to travel on a Hull Trains service to London at any time during the period June 2nd 2022 to July 31st 2022. Full terms and conditions are listed at www.hulltrains.co.uk/jubilee
