December is a busy time for Hull Trains and we want to make your journeys as smooth, comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Whilst we always recommend booking early to get the best seats at the lowest prices, we've popped together a few other tips to help make Christmas travel completely stress-free.
Visiting London
If travelling to King's Cross, check updates and plan your journey using the Transport for London website. Nowhere in the UK gets busier during the festive period than the capital city, so be prepared for possible Tube changes and avoid traffic jams and other problems by planning ahead.
Take breaks from sitting
Getting onto one of our warm and welcoming trains after waiting in the cold can make sitting down for the entire journey seem very attractive. However, to prevent aches and pains, stretch your arms and legs from time to time, and get up for a short walk during long journeys. Whether it's going to the toilet, grabbing a snack or simply standing for a minute to loosen up, you'll feel the benefit when you reach your destination.
Treat yourself to First Class
We're offering First Class passengers a few extra treats during the week before Christmas. Combine this with fully leather-upholstered seating, complimentary newspapers and a First Class Host, and you have yourself an early Christmas present.
Catch up with friends and family
We offer single signup 4G Wi-Fi free of charge to every passenger during the entire journey. We recommend using this time on-board to send a few Christmas messages, organise get-togethers and maybe even do a little online shopping. Might as well make your journey a productive one!
